A Word on Erotica

I’m sure if you’ve stumbled onto this site you are perhaps a fan of at least some sort of erotic fiction. As a writer, blogger, and author in other genres, I often wonder what compels us to turn to erotica, or more importantly, what compels us to read a story about other people having some sort of sexual relationship that is presumably more exciting that the one we might find ourselves experiencing in real life, aside from the obvious escape, and turn-on.

I feel that erotica, perhaps now more than ever, is an important part of the literary experience, because it allows our minds to expand into something greater.

As the human race is coming into an area of enlightenment, I find it amusing that sexually, our society is shutting down instead of opening up and enjoying the freedom that open-mindedness can provide. While there are exceptions, society on the whole has strayed far from the free love of the ’60s, and the swinging key parties of the 70’s. We seem to have put so much more focus on doing “what’s right” instead of allowing our hearts and minds to open, and to just have fun. We’ve put so much pressure on relationships and traditional marriage, while ignoring the fact that the divorce rate remains at close to fifty percent in most countries.

I don’t profess to be a sage when it comes to delivering literary fiction, yet I do strive to make each erotic book and erotic story I release the best it can be. I enjoy using my ever-active mind to perhaps inspire an idea in others in order that we all can learn to lighten up, and have a little more fun.

I think that’s what erotica does best… it enables us to escape into a world of unlimited possibilities, if even for just a short time.

It’s my hope that by writing about the ideas and fantasies that appear in my books, that you, as my cherished reader, will start to gain a sense of freedom, and hopefully that freedom spills over into your relationships, and everything you do.

Allow yourself to open up into that world of endless possibilities, and just see where the path may lead.

Allow yourself to be led down some mysterious corridor of your mind.

Allow yourself to enjoy the freedom you were meant to experience.
